Happy Father’s Day

….to all of you Dad’s out there. I hope you get spoilt by your little ones today (rather than just wrestled, or is that just in our house?!)

I was looking through Dad quotes to use in this post, but then realised I’ve used all my favourites in my father’s day posts over the last few years. I used this lovely dad poem in last year’s post, but hey I don’t think there are rules about not using it again so here goes!

A dad is someone who
wants to catch you before you fall
but instead picks you up,
brushes you off,
and lets you try again.

A dad is someone who wants to keep you from making mistakes
but instead lets you find your own way,
even though his heart breaks in silence
when you get hurt.

A dad is someone who
holds you when you cry,
scolds you when you break the rules,
shines with pride when you succeed,
and has faith in you even when you fail…

Here is my hubby with the boys on our recent holiday….thanks for being the best daddy to our little boys, you really are their hero.

As soon as I took this photo I then wished I had asked Karl to take his sunglasses off (I always like to see peoples’ eyes). But actually then I would have ruined the moment…we all know with small kids you don’t have long to get the shot. And also, I like the fact that I’m in the shot as well…just look at the reflection in Karl’s sunglasses!

And of course Happy Father’s Day to my lovely dad (who is my most loyal blog reader!) Thank you for everything you do.
