Learning, planning (and socialising!) at the SWPP convention
I spent a fantastic few days at the SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) convention in London over this past week. On one of the days I attended a boudoir workshop by a fabulous US photographer Joe Cogliandro in a lovely hotel opposite Buckingham Palace. I don’t currently offer this type of photography, but I think it’s really good to do something different once in a while to keep you fresh and inspired! I really enjoyed it and I love the way Joe shoots boudoir. There is nothing tacky about it….it’s all about capturing the woman how she really is and making the shoot (and therefore the images) as authentic as possible. No unnatural posing or heavy retouching. If I did offer boudoir, this is definitely how I would do it! Here are a few of the shots I took on the day. You can see more buy amoxicillin powder online images that I took on the day here on my Facebook business page.
I spent the other couple of days attending talks, leafing through gorgeous albums at the trade show and socialising with all of the lovely photographers I have met through Twitter and Facebook over the past few years. I remember the first time I went to this convention 3 years ago, I just stood around on my own like Billy-no-mates wondering how everyone seemed to know each other! But now, thanks to social media, I didn’t stop chatting to people which was lovely.
I’ve got a really busy month ahead with lots of headshot sessions which start this week and a couple of photography workshops. I also still have lots of family sessions to share from the end of last year so check back soon!
